About
Raleigh Iron Works opened to the public in 2023 and has repurposed historical buildings into a mixed-use development containing restaurants, retail, office, and residential space. On the Raleigh Iron Works tour, you will step into the past while enjoying the present! Explore the transformed industrial landscape where steel once forged the city's future, now reimagined with vibrant murals that tell stories of our community's heritage.
This guided experience takes you around the architectural remnants of Raleigh's industrial heyday while showcasing contemporary artistic expressions that breathe new life into these historic spaces. Perfect for history buffs, art enthusiasts, and curious minds alike. Join us for an exploration of Raleigh's proud past and creative present!
The tour will be approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes long, but may be slightly shorter depending on the size and speed of the group. This will be a tour of the grounds only, so we will not be entering any of the buildings on the tour. Be sure to stay at Raleigh Iron Works after the tour and eat lunch at one of the great restaurants on site or visit some of the amazing shops!
