RENT

About

Jonathan Larson’s Rent follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York City’s Lower East Side in the shadow of HIV/AIDS.

This musical, loosely based on Giacomo Puccini’s opera La bohème has become a pop cultural phenomenon with songs that rock and a story that shaped a generation of audiences and taught us all to measure our life in love.

This show contains strong language, violence, substance abuse, sexuality, gender identity and the HIV/AIDS epidemic as it existed in America during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Children under 6 years of age are not admitted. Parental discretion is advised.
