St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church will be hosting the Research Triangle TUBACHRISTMAS concert on Sunday, December 19 at 4pm. The TUBACHRISTMAS performance is open to the public and free of charge. All low brass players in the local area are welcome to play in the group; see website for details.
TUBACHRISTMAS features traditional Christmas carols arranged for tuba and baritone horn players as well as opportunities for the audience to sing along.
Created by renowned American tuba artist and teacher, Harvey Phillips, in 1974, TUBACHRISTMAS concerts will be presented in over 270 cities throughout the United States and in several foreign countries this season. Phillips was inspired to create TUBACHRISTMAS to honor his teacher and mentor, William Bell, born on Christmas Day, 1902. Now an established Christmas tradition around the world, TUBACHRISTMAS is celebrating its 48th Anniversary (1974-2021). Anyone who has ever heard a TUBACHRISTMAS concert will never forget the experience!
