Seminar 2: Fire Safety - Grills, Bonfires and Backyard Fires

This fire safety class covers important laws, guidelines, and prevention strategies for safely enjoying outdoor fires and grilling in Raleigh. Participants will learn about local open burning regulations, fire size limits, safe grill and fire pit placement, and how to reduce the risk of brush fires and accidental spread.

The class also reviews North Carolina fireworks laws, safe extinguishing practices, and what to do if a fire gets out of control, including when to evacuate and call 911. Designed for homeowners, families, and outdoor enthusiasts, the program promotes safe and responsible fire practices year-round.
