Sertoma Series: Al Strong and the 99 Brass Band

Sertoma Amphitheatre is one of Cary’s best kept secrets, nestled away inside Bond Park. This intimate venue is a perfect setting for outdoor concerts. Come early for a seat, or pack your own portable chair.

The 99 (Nine Nine) Brass Band was formed in the Spring of 2018 through an impromptu Mardi Gras celebration at The Durham Hotel. Since that time, the band has performed at various venues in the Triangle area, refining both their sound and repertoire. Co-Directed by drummer/producer Jeremy ‘Bean’ Clemons and renowned trumpet player Al Strong, the band delivers powerfully inspiring arrangements with a New Orleans Brass Band sound that’s unmatched. Al Strong is well known in the Triangle's growing jazz scene as a gifted musician, arranger, and compose. Playing live, this 7-piece group brings a boundless energy that will get the party started from the drop of the downbeat!
