Singing School with Calum Woods

Triangle Shape Note is a small local group that meets regularly to do "shape note singing" (sometimes called "sacred harp singing"). Our attendance has dwindled since the pandemic so we would like to invite you to join us! This event will teach the fundamentals of shape note singing and provide an "on ramp" for you to jump into the tradition of shape note singing. 

While the words of the songs are overtly religious, this tradition welcomes people from all religions (including none at all!), and from all backgrounds, races, sexual orientations, and gender identities. We strive to create a welcoming and safe place to learn, experiment, and make mistakes. No matter what you sound like, all voices are welcome!
