Six Week Intro to the Wheel

Take your first steps into wheel throwing at The Makery with this 6-week Introduction to the Wheel Workshop, designed for beginners ready to build core pottery skills (First Spin class in April required to participate in this 6-week class). Over six sessions, you’ll learn essential techniques like centering clay, controlling the wheel, and shaping forms while gaining hands-on experience each step of the way.

Alongside technical instruction, you’ll be encouraged to explore your creativity, experiment with designs, and develop your own artistic style in a supportive, collaborative environment. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have several finished pieces and the confidence to continue your journey in pottery.
