Sixth Annual Cooking for the Kids
This cooking competition brings together eight of the Triangle’s premier chefs. All proceeds from Cooking for the Kids benefit Overflowing Hands and A Place at the Table. Overflowing Hands is a volunteer-led organization serving the most vulnerable children in our neighborhoods, fighting food insecurity and providing clothing, camps and leadership development to children. A Place at the Table is Raleigh's first pay-what-you-can cafe and they are reinventing how we feed our community.
Each extraordinary evening of Cooking for the Kids brings together two talented chefs, six delectable courses and food lovers. A cash bar featuring beer, wine and cocktails will be available for guests to enjoy. Competing chefs are required to prepare an appetizer, main course and a dessert each evening using secret ingredients. Guests and culinary judges will vote to decide which chef advances into the next round.
A silent auction will be held throughout the series of competitions. Anyone may place bids on the auction items and the highest bidder will be determined at the finale.
