Slow Run Club x Superintendo x J Candeed

J Candeed is an energetic singer-songwriter based in Raleigh, North Carolina, traveling the country injecting his positive musical spirit into audiences far and wide. With an upbeat and evolving sound, he blends elements of the hill-country blues, traditional bluegrass and psychedelic groove using a mandola, kick and snare drum. 

Superintendo is a genre-curious punk band from Chapel Hill, NC that sometimes plays ska/dub. While they strive to make every single song an absolute banger, they also fold in some pretention wherever they can by shoehorning in some jazz, bossa nova, or prog (gross).  Basically, they play both genres: fast and slow. But mostly fast. Superintendo brings a no-pretensions approach to their music and performances where they strive to get everyone dancing and feeling welcomed with 10-foot arms. 

Slow Run Club is the Steve Buscemi how-do-you-do-fellow-kids meme, but in sound. A crisp autumn evening punctuated with guitar feedback. Indie. Alternative. Slacker rock. Flower punk. Bootgaze. Psych-inflected powerpop. A little resistance always maybe, stubborn tiny lights vs. clustering darkness forever ok? Filled with microplastics and a smidgen of hope.
