About

The Small Metals Intro is a basic orientation to the ShopSpace jewelry studio. The objective is to get you going with small metals, with the primary goal of learning to cut, saw, and file non-ferrous metal. You will be introduced to the jeweler's saw, files, and the flex-shaft drill. These are the most basic tools that you will use with small metals. While practicing these operations, you will have the opportunity to make a pendant or a simple pair of earrings.

This class gets you started, and it's then up to you to practice your skills and start making things. Due to the fluctuating cost of metals, this class may have an added materials fee for extra materials that you use.
