Spring Fungi Forage with Daniel Woody

Embark on a spring fungi adventure, discovering nature's treasures in a guided forage. Join us for an unforgettable journey!

Let's go for a hike while will we work on how to identify different culinary fungi and discuss their nutritional values. Some things we may find on our forage adventure are Dryad's Saddle, Mica Cap, Yellow Morel, Black Morel, Half-Free Morel, Oyster Mushroom, Deer Mushroom, and Wine Caps.

Approximately 3 1/2 mile walk on very few dedicated paths (5 out of 10 strength and endurance). Dress for weather and comfort. Bring a basket, trowel, knife, and any other tools for gathering fungi, water and bag lunch. Identification materials will be provided at the location. No Bathroom onsite. *Must wear bright orange or reflective clothing/hat*
