About
Join Wild Food Foragers for a springtime wildflower forage as we celebrate the changing seasons! Exact location to be sent in advance.
Jam on! With warmer temperatures and sunny skies, the flowers are popping! We will be collecting and identifying spring wildflowers as well as sharing knowledge on their nutritional and medicinal value as well as their natural beauty. During the event, we will clean and process the flowers into syrups and jams for the participants to take home for themselves. Some of the flowers we plan to harvest include violets, clover, henbit, purple deadnettle, dandelion, crocus, and bluebells. We will also be on the lookout for spring greens like chickweed and plantain that can be used in salads.
2 out of 10 strength and endurance - approximately 1 mile walk on easy walking path. Dress for weather and comfort. No bathroom on site. Identification materials will be provided at the location.
