Stop Kiss

About

Stop Kiss is a play written by the American playwright Diana Son, and produced Off-Broadway in 1998 at The Public Theater in New York City. It was directed by Jo Bonney, stage managed by Buzz Cohen, with set design by Narelle Sissons, costumes by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by James Vermeulen, sound design and original music by David Van Tieghem. It was extended three times. Sparks fly between Sarah and Callie when they first meet, surprising them both as they slowly and touchingly fall in love. Their tentative public first kiss results in an act of violence that changes their lives forever. Told through a dizzying and delightful series of flashbacks and leaps forward, this funny and poignant play explores discovering your true self and the lengths to which you will go when you do.
