Turn your old notions of watercolor upside-down in this workshop with artist Ryan Fox. Explore numerous techniques in watercolor painting, such as wet-into-wet, charging color, intentional water blossoms, scraping, spattering, and adding texture. The workshop is structured as a learning experience with demonstrations, one-on-one consultations, and constructive critiques. Students with all levels of experience are encouraged to participate.
Students will complete several quarter-sheet (11 × 15 in.) paintings during the class. Students can work from their own photographs or use samples provided by the instructor.
