The Gone Ghosts

The Gone Ghosts are an alt-country Americana/rock band out of Carrboro, NC, blending raw storytelling with a sound steeped in love, loss, and heartache. Fronted by singer, guitarist, and songwriter Dave Hedeman, formerly of East Coast college favorite Puddleduck and later The Vagabond Union, the band also features bassist Dillon Partin, guitarist/vocalist Justin Bowlin, and drummer Scott Jones. Inspired by a chance encounter with Jason Isbell that reignited his passion for music, Dave formed The Gone Ghosts in 2018 to lean into the alt-country sound closest to his heart. With rootsy guitars, heartfelt lyrics, and a sound that hits somewhere between a honky-tonk and a rock club, The Gone Ghosts bring the kind of Americana grit that feels right at home on Slim’s stage.
