The Rise of Third Parties

Come join Lecture Lounge for a moderated panel discussion at NCSU with representatives from the Forward Party, Justice for All Party, and Libertarian Party on our political moment, third party participation, and election reform. Discussion will include how third parties can be part of a productive political conversation in America, election reform and ranked-choice voting, and our current political moment. Speakers will include: Patrick Newton, State Chair of Forward Party, Italo Medilus, State Chair of Justice for All Party, Brad Hessel, Chair of Wake County Libertarian Party. 

What is Lecture Lounge? Lecture Lounge provides accessible lectures and talks from area professors and other community members at area bars, breweries, and other venues. In particular, we have a mission-driven goal of supporting the work of adjunct professors, postdocs, and others who are not always properly recognized for their work, with proceeds going to lecturers. This event is free, but please do register for a ticket at the website.
