Experience the fight for womens right to vote in The Suffragist Project presented by OdysseyStage. This collection of short plays, written by the Triangle Playwrights, explores the 70+ year fight for womans enfranchisement. In promenade-style, audience goers will venture from scene to scene guided by a silent sentinel armed with information about what happens next. Each scene depicts moments from the movement, bringing to life well-known advocates like Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, Ida B. Wells and Alice Paul. This show will reveal a glimpse into the lives of these women, the personal sacrifices they made and the fierce opposition to women gaining the vote.
