The Story of Love and Resilience: A Journey of Healing Through the Arts

An interactive, educational multimedia experience presented in celebration of Black History Month. Blending dance, theater, and music, the show explores the intersection of mental health, spiritual well-being, and self-care, offering the arts as a powerful tool for healing and connection. This performance is more than a show; it’s a call to reclaim healing through heritage and the expressive power of the arts.

Willie Hinton is an internationally recognized dancer, choreographer, and educator whose career spans major companies and institutions across the U.S. and abroad. A graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, he trained on a full scholarship at the Alvin Ailey School, American Dance Festival, and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Hinton has toured nationally and internationally with renowned companies including The Philadelphia Dance Company (Philadanco), Dance Kaleidoscope, and The Rebecca Kelly Dance Company, and performed with the legendary Chuck Davis African American Dance Ensemble. His international teaching includes residencies in Bolivia and Kenya.
