Unframed Voices: Art. Theater. No Boundaries.

Experience the museum in a whole new way with Unframed Voices, an immersive evening of theater inspired by works of art on display. Audiences will move through the galleries as four North Carolina theater companies premiere original short plays written by North Carolina playwrights, each inspired by a featured artwork.

Blending visual art and live performance, this unique event transforms the museum into a stage where storytelling, imagination, and creativity come together. Featured playwrights include Aurelia Belfield, Ian Finley, Tamara Kissane, and Brook North, with performances presented by RedBird Theater, Honest Pint Theatre, Justice Theater Project, and North Carolina Central University.
