Sharpen your pencils, it’s time for our geography tasting class!
Taught by Videri’s owner and head roaster Sam Ratto, students will learn about the chocolate process and taste cacao from around the world. Taste beans from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, and Tanzania as Sam explains how specific roasting times and temperatures bring out the unique flavor profiles of each country’s cacao. Sam will then lead participants through a tasting of Videri’s 75% single origin line, discussing each bar’s flavor notes and profiles. Class will conclude with a lesson and tasting of bonbon textures and structures.
