Now in its 49th year, Wake Forest's annual celebration is one of our area's most eagerly-anticipated summer-time events serving up two days-worth of fun and excitement for the entire family - and it's all free!
The Town of Wake Forest is pleased to announce that the July 3 Fireworks Spectacular will be open for in-person viewing.
Free and open to the public, this popular community event will take place inside Husky Stadium on the campus of Heritage High School, 1150 Forestville Road. Gates will open at 7:30pm and the fireworks show will begin at 9:30pm.
Area residents who wish to view the fireworks in-person are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the fireworks show on the Husky Stadium football field or on one of the designated viewing areas on the Heritage High School campus. Spectators may also sit on the home side stadium bleachers.
Picnic baskets and/or coolers will be allowed, but alcoholic beverages, smoking, glass and pets are strictly prohibited on the school campus. In addition, no bicycles are allowed inside the stadium, and no chairs or blankets will be permitted on the stadium track.
On Mon., July 4, a children's parade will make its way through downtown Wake Forest, and an art market will take place from 11am-1pm at the Wake Forest Community House, 133 W. Owen Ave.
