Our food choices affect our health. The old saying,”We are what we eat” is true. Every cell in our body was created from the food we eat, the water we drink and the air we breathe. This Dinner Theater Series will explore food and health by discussing the health benefits of the evening’s menu.
This first evening is on the health benefits of a Vegan diet, featuring three original 10-minute plays by Seed Art Share’s writer Ian Finley,Health Notes by Joe and Terry Graedon of People’s Pharmacy and a three course vegan meal by Irregardless Cafe.
Tickets include a 3-course meal (appetizers, entree buffet and plated dessert to table), 1 glass of wine or beer (cash bar available), theater and speakers. Gluten-free menu items are available. Please select the ticket that matches your dietary restrictions. Send an email for additional restrictions.
Diners will have the opportunity to purchase autographed books and healthy products from the Peoples’ Pharmacy and herbal teas and produce from the Well Fed Community Garden.
Vegan diets (no animal products: only plant-based foods) are known to help folks lose weight, maintain a healthy heart, protect against type 2 diabetes and certain cancers. Vegan diets tend to provide more fiber and antioxidants to diets and are said to reduce the pain of arthritis.
The Well Fed, Well Said Dinner Theater Series will be offered approximately twice a year, with the next evening to be held in the autumn of 2018.
