Women-in-Beer Tour in Holly Springs

Raise a glass to HER-story in Holly Springs.

Celebrate Women’s History Month with a guided beer and history walking tour that spotlights the women shaping North Carolina’s brewing scene — past and present.

We’ll begin at Bombshell Beer Co., North Carolina’s first women-owned  brewery, where you’ll sample a selection of their beers and learn about women making their mark in craft brewing today. From there, we’ll take a scenic walk through downtown Holly Springs to Local Time Brewing for more tastings and stories.

Along the route, we’ll stop at two pre–Civil War historic sites and explore the history of Holly Springs — with special attention to the women leaders who helped shape the community.

And yes, there’s a little fun mixed in: beer trivia is part of the experience. For example, which historical figure once declared, “Hops is a wicked and pernicious weed”? Join the tour and you’ll know the answer.
