Originally known as The Village Subway, this was an underground entertainment district located beneath the Cameron Village shopping area. Operating throughout the 1970s and 1980s, the Underground offered nightclubs, restaurants and retail options for patrons.
The Underground was closed in 1984 due to safety concerns; however, there are current plans to reopen the space in the future.
