The nationally acclaimed Governor James B. Hunt, Jr. Horse Complex is one of the best in the country. Renovated in 2004, the 81,000 square foot enclosed arena includes 4,748 permanent seats. The main show ring is 138 feet by 248 feet, designed for national and regional horse events. A public address system is permanently installed.
Adjacent to the arena building is a covered warm-up arena, 120 feet by 240 feet, and an outdoor warm-up arena of the same size. The complex has 485 permanent stalls with rest rooms and showers and 400 portable stalls. A horse wash is available in the barn area.
The Hunt Horse Complex sits on 30 fenced acres of the 344 acre fairgrounds. The horse complex hosts many horse disciplines including Quarter Horses, Hunters, Jumpers, Dressage, Morgans, Saddlebreds, Hackneys, Roadsters, Ponies, Paso Finos, Arabians, and dozens more.
