A message from Chef Rob: I’ve always enjoyed cooking good food. Being from the Pee Dee area of South South Carolina and marrying a woman from the Low Country, seafood is a staple in many of our meals. Frogmore Stew, also known as Low Country Boil, was often our go to meal for family and friends. When we relocated to the Raleigh/ Durham area there were not a lot of seafood choices in the area. So I brought some of my favorite dishes to share with you.
Being the parent of three beautiful girls, we created AKR Food and Beverage LLC, to show them that hard work and following your dreams is possible. Walking Crab was our first venture under the AKR Food and Beverage Umbrella. Soon we plan to expand to our own line of take home products, including seafood seasoning, seafood boil seasoning, garlic butter, and much, much more.
