SuperShuttle International Inc. Comes to Raleigh-Durham International Airport

PHOENIX (November 18, 2008) SuperShuttle International, Inc. announced today it will begin shared ride van service to/from Raleigh-Durham International Airport and surrounding areas January 3, 2009.

SuperShuttle will begin interviewing unit franchisees as drivers for SuperShuttle immediately and other service employees in the area of sales and airport service. Johnathan Bowen has been named the SuperShuttle general manager for the Raleigh-Durham area.

“We are really excited about the Raleigh-Durham area and can’t wait to get going,” said David Bird, senior vice-president of operations for the area. “SuperShuttle has been on an acquisition track for the last several years, so we are looking forward to once again being able to build a ground-up operation.”

SuperShuttle was granted a contract by the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority to serve the Research Triangle Region. They will begin with 15 Blue Vans and build the system as growth demands. SuperShuttle is a shared-ride service which provides customers with a less expensive option than traditional forms of transportation to and from the airport by sharing a ride with other customers in close proximity. Its state of the art GPS mapping system allows SuperShuttle to be the most efficient shared ride service in the country serving over 28 airports nationwide.
