It’s that time of year again!  From October 15th to the 25th, Raleigh will be home to one of North Carolina’s most entertaining and memorable events, the 2009 N.C. State Fair.  With rides, competitions, exhibits and entertainment galore, the N.C. State Fair is always a great time, attracting visitors from all 100 counties!

The State Fair’s motto, “A Whole Lotta Happy”, pretty much sums up how everyone will feel once they’ve experienced this fun-filled event.  As always, there will be a wide array of exciting rides that everyone can enjoy, as long as you meet the height requirement, of course!  For those who just aren’t quite tall enough, there’s always the Kiddieland Fun Park, where they can enjoy their own shows, rides and attractions.

In between rides, take a break to enjoy one of the many concerts that will take place at Dorton Arena.  This year’s entertainment line-up includes Jason Michael Carroll, Kellie Pickler, The Temptations and Eric Church, just to name a few.  You can also stop by one of the many exhibits that will be going on, such as Green NC or Field of Dreams.

For those making a long trek to enjoy this event, there are many local hotels in the area offering great State Fair discount deals!  Just visit this convenient Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau site to view a listing of local hotels and their unbeatable prices during this event.

Come one, come all – just make sure you do visit Raleigh to enjoy this wonderful event!  It only happens once a year, after all!
