Looking for stunning, handcrafted pieces for your home? Got a special interest in eccentrically beautiful homemade arts and crafts? Well mark your calendars! On May 1st, Wake Forest will host its 30th Annual Meet in the Street Festival, and you won’t want to miss it.

With more than 100 vendors from all over the Southeast, you can spend the afternoon taking in some of the most striking homemade pieces in the area. Vendors will be selling everything from art to jewelry to home décor so remember to bring your checkbook.  You never know what unique piece you may find. Not to mention, many of the vendors are local artisans, so by buying their wares, you will not only have an authentic North Carolina craft in your possession but you’ll also be supporting and celebrating the local cause.

This festival is not just for buyers and browsers but instead welcomes the whole family.  From 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. everyone can enjoy traditional American food, international delights, and countless forms of entertainment including two stages of local dancers, singers, and musicians! There will also be a special place for the kids, the Children’s Village. This area will provide numerous games and activities so the kids can celebrate local art in their own way!

This festival is completely free to the public and welcomes all. So gather up the family and head to Wake Forest on May 1st for a jam-packed afternoon filled with local artistry and fun. You and your family will absolutely adore it! Happy browsing!
