Film festivals, typically edgy and contentious, tend to target a specific audience, but imagine an entertaining and informational film festival where all are welcome, including the kids! Well it’s no longer just an idea; Bob Crowley and John M. Demers, are in the process of creating the Triangle’s only family-friendly film Festival!

The Peak City Film Festival will be held in Apex and will be open to the public all day, Saturday, Nov. 21 and the afternoon of Nov. 22. Don’t expect cartoons, musicals, or large talking animals to be the center of attention, however. These are not your typical box office kiddie movies. Crowley and Demers’ original motivation behind the festival was the idea that people can be entertained and informed without crossing boundaries. So although there may be few Disney characters or musical sing-a-longs, the films picked will be entertaining enough so that neither parents nor kids will be bored, a compromise seldom found in movies at your local theater!

So if you’re a parent looking for an artsy and innovative outlet for your kids or just a film buff looking for a chance to see some great productions, Peak City Film Festival is the place to be. Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of such a unique and entertaining event!
