The Carolina Mudcats—affiliate of Major League Baseball's Milwaukee Brewers—are swinging into action in April with a new season of minor league baseball in Zebulon, N.C. (about 25-30 minutes east of downtown Raleigh).

The 6,500-seat Five County Stadium—home to the Mudcats for more than 30 years now—will host 66 games for the 2022 season, inviting fans to enjoy a host of promotional nights that include giveaways and concessions deals.

Opening weekend in Zebulon for the Mudcats is April 8-10 against the Down East Wood Ducks. The opening series will feature a fireworks show after the Fri. night game and an opportunity to play catch on the field after the conclusion of the Sun. game. All three nights will also include a magnet giveaway.

Regularly scheduled promotional nights for the 2022 season include the following:

  • Carolina’s jam-packed weekend schedule goes off with a bang each Fri. night as the Mudcats light up the night sky with Friday Night Fireworks. These spectacular fireworks displays follow each Fri. night home game and feature a lengthy fireworks display and music. Additional fireworks shows will be added to July 2 and July 3 for Independence Day weekend and the Mudcats for America Series of games.
  • Each home stand in 2022 will begin with Bark in the Park, scheduled for each Tues. throughout the season. Bark in the Park allows fans to bring their dogs with them for a night of baseball fun at Five County Stadium. All dogs are free to attend with owner’s paid admission.
  • Winning Wednesday features a ticket special for fans attending each of the Wed. home games at Five County Stadium. Should the Mudcats earn a victory on any of the scheduled Wed. home games, then fans in attendance for that same game will receive a free ticket to the next scheduled Wed. home game.
  • Thirsty Thursday™ is back for the 2022 season and will once again feature food and drink specials for each Thurs. home game. Thirsty Thursday™ is also themed out this year with the Mudcats playing as their alternate identities—the Carolina Micro Brews and Pescados de Carolina—on alternating weeks throughout the season.
  • Souvenirs headline Sat. home games this season with unique giveaway items scheduled all throughout the season.

Additional nights of note include Teacher Appreciation Night (May 27), Free Will Baptist Home Supply Drive (July 15), Christmas Eve in July (July 24), Heroes Weekend (Aug. 5-7), Scout Night (Aug. 19) and Fan Appreciation Weekend (Sept. 3 and 4).

The Carolina Mudcats are the officially licensed Class-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. First established in 1991, the Mudcats have provided affordable family fun for over 30 years at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, N.C.
