Greater Raleigh is always buzzing about the latest addition to the area’s arts and culture scene, and sometimes it’s hard to keep up. We decided to put together a list of all the exhibits currently on display at some of your favorite museums and galleries, making your next art adventure a breeze to plan.

North Carolina Museum of Art: Mirror Image: Women Portraying Women features works from the museum’s permanent collection as well as loans and examines what it means to be a woman in today’s culture, as seen through the eyes of North Carolina artists. This exhibit is free and lasts through November 27th.

Contemporary Art Museum: Rebecca Ward’s thickly sliced exhibit is the first U.S. museum show of commissioned works by this New York-based artist. Her thoughtful geometric installations have transformed the Independent Weekly Gallery into an area that makes you reconsider how you perceive your surroundings. Admission to the CAM is $5, and thickly sliced will be on display until October 31st.

Visual Art Exchange: The 22nd Annual N.E.W. Show is this gallery’s display of Never Exhibited Works that have been created within the past 12 months. There are dozens of diverse works on display in the Main Gallery at no cost to visitors through September.

These are just a sample of the dozens of exhibitions that you’ll find throughout Greater Raleigh. To explore more galleries and museums, view this comprehensive list. By the time you’ve seen all current exhibitions, there will already be new ones to explore.
