The first day of fall has come and gone, and the autumn holidays of Halloween and Thanksgiving are quickly approaching. Soon, families and friends will bundle up and venture out in search of that perfect pumpkin to carve or use in a delicious pumpkin dish. If you’re visiting Raleigh from the surrounding area, there’s no reason why you should miss out on all of the pumpkin-picking fun!
Green Acres Farm in Cary has been in the family for more than 110 years, so they’ve had plenty of time to prepare for pumpkin hunters like you. With pumpkin patches, a corn maze and Christmas trees for sale during their respective seasons, you can’t go wrong here when searching for the perfect pumpkin.
In addition to growing herbs, roses, shrubs, fresh fruits, a wide array of flowers and so much more, Ken’s Produce and Garden Center in Garner also grows plenty of pumpkins seasonally. You can have your pick from large to small and bright to pale.
Porter Farms and Nursery also offers tons of pumpkins to choose from. There are so many pumpkin patches sprinkled around the area that we can’t highlight them all, but for more help in your pumpkin search, visit this site.
