If you’re looking for a big dose of fun, North Carolina-style, then look no further than the down-home celebration at the 2011 Got to Be NC Festival.  This one-of-a-kind festival features North Carolina’s agricultural bounty while simultaneously offering great music, games, rides and food.

On May 20-22, the N.C. State Fairgrounds in Raleigh will come alive with a wonderful Got to Be NC Food & Wine Expo that will feature samples and products from some of the best North Carolina food companies and wineries.  There will also be tractor pulls, draft horse pulls, a Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show and more at the Sam Rand Grandstand.  Let your kids explore at the animal encounters station, rides and the Kid’s Corral.

When hunger strikes, venture over to the 6th Annual Masonic Carolina Pig Jig, where more than 40 chapters of Masons will gather for a fun BBQ cook-off.  Or, head over to the Amran Shriners’ fish fry, where you’ll find calabash-style North Carolina mountain trout, catfish, hand-breaded flounder and shrimp.

This is just a tiny glimpse of all the fun and festivities that will be taking place at this year’s Got to Be NC Festival. Check out all of the fun here.
