LoneRider Brewing Company has been brewing delicious ales for outlaws since 2009. Its Raleigh headquarters places it right in the center of what the brewers call the undeniable “Southern state for beer.” LoneRider’s brews are flavorful characters that you’ll love getting to know.
Shotgun Betty is described as a sexy, tough cowgirl, who is always armed and dangerous, and represents the German-style Hefeweizen wheat beer. If you’d like a West Coast-style American Pale Ale, then become acquainted with the town’s Peacemaker. For a seasonal porter, get a hold of Deadeye Jack, a wandering LoneRider who never stays in the same place for long. Then there’s Sweet Josie, a temptress crafted in the American Brown style, that won a 2010 Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Fest. You can also try Gunslinger, Grave Robber and Belle Starr.
LoneRider offers brew tours only on a case-by-case basis (if you ask and they’re not too busy, then you may get lucky); however, they have tasting room hours on Thursdays and Fridays 5-9 p.m. and Saturdays 2-7 p.m. You can also reserve the tasting room for your own personal experience or purchase six-packs, growlers and kegs at the brewery during tasting room and brewery hours.
If you’d like to join the LoneRider Brewing Company’s cowgirls and cowboys for an afternoon of beer fit for outlaws, then saddle up your horse and head on over.
