Outdoor movies…a thing of the past, right? Something right out of Dad’s old archive of stories? WRONG. Koka Booth Amphitheatre is giving Triangle residents a little taste of the past by providing ‘Movies by Moonlight’. Patrons can bring blankets and fold out chairs to the venue and enjoy the latest Hollywood films in the comfort of Cary’s warm summer nights. All ages are welcome, and the Booth Amphitheatre welcomes picnic dinners; in turn making ‘Movies by Moonlight’ the perfect alternative to the usual date night. Doors open at 7pm, and movie patrons can enjoy live music by local artists until actual showtime. Here is a list of some of the great movies playing this summer:

07/09/2009  Movies By Moonlight: He's Just Not That Into You, 7 pm
07/16/2009  Movies By Moonlight: Twilight, 7 pm
07/30/2009  Movies By Moonlight: Blades of Glory, 7 pm
08/06/2009  Movies By Moonlight: Mama Mia, 7 pm

08/13/2009 Movies By Moonlight: Tale of Despereaux, 7 pm

This great opportunity will not hurt your wallet either like some of the other movie theatres around town. Tickets are $3 for adults and kids under the age of 12 are FREE. As even more incentive, 75 cents of each ticket is donated to Just for Kids Kampaign at WakeMed making “Movies by Moonlight” the perfect event of the summer. Check out their website for more details on the Booth Amphitheatre and movie times.
