Kids can get hands-on with exhibits at Marbles Kids Museum, take in larger-than-life movies at Wells Fargo IMAX Theatre, be awed by sports legends at the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame and have their senses excited at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences's Daily Planet, a three-story, 42-foot-tall globe filled with vivid videos and information.

Need the younger ones to burn off some energy? Raleigh has some terrific family fun centers where they can bounce themselves silly at a playhouse or trampoline park, experience the adrenaline rush of go-karts or zip, swing and climb through the trees at an outdoor adventure park.
