About
DeRay Davis is a comedian and actor born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, known for his stand-up comedy and extensive work in film and television. He gained early recognition through stand-up competitions and festivals before building a long-running career in both comedy and acting.
He has appeared in a wide range of films including 21 Jump Street, Semi-Pro, Life as We Know It, Old Dogs, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and License to Wed, often in supporting and comedic roles alongside major Hollywood actors. On television, he has appeared in series such as Empire and Snowfall, and has also been a frequent presence on comedy platforms including Wild ’N Out, where he showcased his improvisational and sketch comedy skills.
In addition to acting, Davis is an established stand-up comedian with multiple specials, including DeRay Davis: How to Act Black and Power Play, and continues to tour nationally and internationally.
