Events in Wendell, N.C.

Wendell’s small-town charm makes it a great place to visit near Raleigh, N.C. Wendell hosts many annual events for visitors to enjoy during their trips to the area. If you’re in town during these special events, make time for at least a day trip!

Spring Into the Arts Walk
This mid-May event includes an art walk and a silent auction, as well as several organized activities throughout the day. Downtown Wendell will have arts and crafts vendors, a classic car show, a kids’ art walk, a scrap exchange and a bluegrass concert. Come to the Arts Walk to see the specialties of the Wendell art community.

4th of July Celebration
Wendell’s 4th of July Celebration includes a parade down Main St. with a children’s costume contest, a veterans tribute, a Wake and District Public Safety Pipes and Drums performance, a barbershop quartet and awards presentation for an essay contest. Enjoy free hot dogs and spend your Fourth of July with Wendell!

International Food and Music Festival
An annual festival in mid-Sept., the International Food and Music Festival at J. Ashley Wall Towne Square features food booths from a wide variety of nationalities, including the Dominican Republic, Poland, the Philippines and more. Also featured is live entertainment from many cultures, raffle prizes, games and a silent auction. This unique festival in Wendall is one you won’t want to miss.

Wendell Harvest Festival
The Wendell Harvest Festival in early Oct. celebrates the fall holidays with a live auction, bingo, a pumpkin derby, a downtown parade, crafts, rides, music and food. Also see Little Miss and Mr. Wendell and enjoy drinks at the Beer Garden. Have a fun day with family and friends at the Wendell Harvest Festival.

Wendell Wonderland
Wendell begins Christmas festivities with Wendell Wonderland in early Dec. Visit the Lake Myra Christmas light show, which brings in thousands of guests every year. Families can spend time at the trolley rides, can visit with Santa and enjoy a cookie walk and live music and entertainment. Refreshments include hot chocolate and popcorn. The Wendell Wonderland will be a great start to your holidays!
