Apex, N.C., hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, perfect for visitors to experience during fun and unique celebrations. Check out these annual events you can count on each year!

Founders Day Celebration
In late winter, downtown Apex holds its Founders Day celebration, showing off its historic venues as well as demonstrations in tribute to the town’s founding. You can enjoy food, music, a 5K run and shopping downtown.

Apex PeakFest
In May, downtown Apex puts on the PeakFest, a signature street fair full of rides, performers, food and craft vendors and music. A free festival and open to the public, it's one of Apex’s most popular celebrations for a day of fun and entertainment.

Apex Latino Arts Festival
Also downtown, The Apex Latino Arts Festival in early June celebrates Apex’s Latino community by highlighting the presence of Latino arts and culture. The festival includes dances, flag parades, music and much more, and is open to everybody.

The Peak City Pig Fest
The Peak City Pig Fest in mid-June is a barbecue competition and street festival with several activities and events, including food contests, pig races, an area for kids, a beer garden and live music. This unique Apex fest is one you won’t want to miss.

Olde Fashioned Fourth of July
The Olde Fashioned Fourth of July event invites families to join in a day of activities and in Uncle Sam’s Parade of Wheels down Salem St., for kids 12 and under. Other activities include inflatables, karaoke and carnival games.

Christmas on Salem
By Christmas time, Apex hosts Christmas on Salem, a three-day event in early Dec. Celebrate the season with the tree-lighting and sleigh rides, a pancake breakfast, pictures with Santa, a Christmas parade and historic home tours.
