About

On behalf of Green Hope High School Asian American Studies and Fine Arts Departments, we are pleased to invite you to a free exhibit of student work next Tuesday, May 26 from 6-8 PM at Cary Arts Center.

Over the past year, students from Green Hope High have been exploring our American ideals of democracy, equality, rights, liberty, and opportunity through oral histories focusing on the local Asian American community. Inspired by these narratives, students in the Green Hope Fine Arts department have created original works illustrating these ideals in modern America.

At this exhibit, guests will learn how students were inspired by the collections of the NC State Archive and NC Museum of Art to create representations of how these ideals influence each of our lives.

Andia's Ice Cream will be served to the first 100 attendees.  This free event is supported by the Teaching America 250 Award from the Jack Miller Center.
