Movements emerged fully formed with their 2016 EP Outgrown Things and 2017 debut Feel Something, blending modern post‑hardcore grit, Patrick Miranda’s anguished vocals, and introspective lyrics about mental health, family, and identity; while influenced by Balance & Composure and La Dispute, they also push into softer territory with songs like “Fever Dream.” Formed after Miranda left art school to pursue music, the band quickly gained traction—signing to Fearless Records after their first show—and have since built a reputation for emotionally raw live performances, extensive touring across the U.S. and Southeast Asia, and festival appearances including Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple, and Epicenter.
