Located just south of Raleigh, Harris Lake County Park is quickly becoming a destination park. Excellent fishing in both the lake and the stocked fishing pond, five mile hiking trail, disc golf course, ten miles of mountain bike trails, volleyball court, environmental education programs, self guided phone tours and a playground await visitors. Picnic shelters with grills available for rental. Free admission. Hours: Daily, 8am-sunset. Closed Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day and New Years Day.
