The Herbert C. Young Community Center, located in downtown Cary, offers classes, programs and athletic events for over 20 years through the Town of Cary Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department. The center has two large meetings rooms and a catering kitchen on the main level, a gymnasium on the lower level, named after former N.C. State University women's basketball coach Kay Yow, can be converted to an event hall for festivals, performances and large events.
Cary residents may reserve the center six months in advance and non-residents may reserve the center five months in advance for Fri. and Sat. rentals until 1am. For Sun. through Thurs., Cary residents may reserve the center three months in advance and non-residents may reserve the center two months in advance until 10pm. All rentals are for a two-hour minimum.
