About

Seventy Eight °C Spirits, Inc., is a micro distillery headquartered in Raleigh, N.C., notable for being the first legal distillery in Wake County. Founded by Donald McIntyre and Jared Sargent; both chemical industry veterans who aspired to establish a distillery that combined their scientific knowledge with their passion for craft spirits. Their objective is to implement a scientific approach in the manufacturing of craft spirits whenever possible. The boiling point of pure ethanol, 78°C, inspired the distillery's name.

The mission is to produce delicious spirits that are pleasing to the senses, using only the highest quality ingredients. The initial offering is a limoncello, which delivers a slightly sweet, fresh lemony taste. Jalapeño limoncello was introduced in Aug. 2015, introducing a unique flavor by incorporating a sweet lemony liquor with a dose of savory heat on the finish. A Blood Orangecello was released in Nov. 2015. Two new items were released in Aug. 2016, a pecan pie vodka, The Barn, and a Red Apple Vodka, AGG.
