Shinmai Kumo is the second restaurant from the Shinmai team in Cary, opening with a soft launch in early September 2025. Our menu centers on Itameshi (イタメシ) — a style of cooking that originated in Japan, blending Japanese ingredients, techniques, and sensibilities with Italian cuisine. The result is thoughtful, playful dishes that feel both familiar and new. Following the success of Shinmai Shokudo, our first location in Cary, Shinmai Kumo continues our commitment to craft, hospitality, and bringing people together around the table — this time with a fresh perspective where Japanese and Italian traditions meet.
