About
Tepuy Donuts is a bakery offering a variety of handmade donuts, each crafted from scratch using the highest quality local ingredients. Featuring their signature sourdough brioche donut, which is richer and lighter than traditional cake donuts, Tepuy will also feature a rotating selection of seasonal specialties such as a corn custard donut with blueberry filling, a black forest cake-inspired donut and many more.
The name “Tepuy” is derived from the flat-top mountains in Venezuela’s Canaima National Park, some of the oldest landforms on Earth. These mountains, which play a pivotal role in Venezuelan culture and history, have a special place in founder Alejandro Contreras' heart. His own experience exploring the Tepuy Mountains was nothing short of transformative, impacting every aspect of his life and shaping him into the person he is today. When it came time to name his business, there was no doubt in his mind—it had to be Tepuy. The name represents the strength, resilience and introspection people feel when visiting the majestic mountains.
