Wake County Speedway is a 1/4-mile NASCAR Sanctioned short track founded in 1962. The racing program starts in early April and continues through mid-September. Races are held on most Friday nights during the season with gates opening at 6 pm. Tickets are on sale at the main gate ticket booth. Practice and qualifying start at 7 pm each race night. "America's Favorite Bullring" - Wake County Speedway, features four large grandstands including a separate family grandstand with no alcohol allowed. Concessions are available or you may bring a (14" maximum) cooler. (NO GLASS ALLOWED) Pits Open at 5 pm; Grandstands open at 6 pm; Practice starts at 7 pm; Heat Races and Qualifying start at 8 pm; Race Time is 8:30 pm. Pit passes are available at the Pit Entrance Booth.
