Sites were selected for 54 of the 89 championships across all three divisions. The sites represent 30 states, including nine in the state of North Carolina across five cities. The state of Ohio is next with seven sites, while Florida and Texas were awarded five sites each.

"We are excited by all of the hosts selected. More than 12,000 student-athletes will compete at these newly announced sites," said Mark Lewis, NCAA executive vice president of championships and alliances. "In almost every sport there were very difficult choices, but all of the committees involved did a tremendous job of selecting the best possible venues. We are very appreciative of the amount of work put in by so many people in working on these selections."

More than 200 bids were received from 36 states. The Division I Men's Golf Championships received the most bids of any championship with 27 contenders for the 2014 Championships finals as well as the six regional sites for both 2014 and 2015. The Division I Women's Golf Championships were not far behind with 25 bids for the 2014 Championships finals and the three regional sites for both 2014 and 2015.

Raleigh, N.C. was awarded three bids, more than any other city. The City of Oaks will host the 2014 Division I Men's Golf Regionals and the 2015 Division I Women's Golf Regionals at Lonnie Poole Golf Course, as well as hosting the 2014 Division II Men's and Women's Outdoor Track Championships at the George Williams Athletic Complex.

Three sites were selected to host more than one championship: Lonnie Poole Golf Course; Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Mich.; and the Rock Barn Golf and Spa in Conover, N.C. The Meadows Golf Course has previously hosted the Division II men's championships in 2001 and 2007 and the Division II women's championships in 2002, 2006 and 2011.

There were also three sites that were selected to host for more than one year: French Field House in Columbus, Ohio (2014 and 2015 National Collegiate Men's and Women's Fencing Championships); Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. (2014 and 2015 Division III Men's Golf Championships); and Mission Inn Resort in Howey in the Hills, Fla. (2014 and 2015 Division III Women's Golf Championships).

In addition, the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass., was awarded a three-game Division I Men's Ice Hockey regional in 2014. The total of 45 NCAA regional hockey games hosted in this building will be the most in the 66 year history of the Division I Men's Ice Hockey tournament.

The Division I Men's Basketball Championship preliminary round sites for 2014 and 2015 along with the Division II and Division III Men's Basketball Finals sites for 2014 will be announced Nov. 12.
