Kumi Anzalone Named President Elect to Potomac Chapter -
Meeting Professionals International

(RALEIGH, N.C.) April 2010 - The Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau is proud to announce Kumi Anzalone, Regional Director of National Accounts, Washington DC Area Office, has been named President Elect of the Potomac Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (PMPI). Anzalone will serve a one-year term for 2010-2011 as President Elect and officially begin her term as President for the 2011-2012 calendar year.

Anzalone has a strong history with PMPI, she has been a member since 2005 and most recently served as Board Director for Professional Development. In previous years she has served as a committee member and co-chair for the Membership Committee and in 2007 was awarded the PMPI Star Award for Service to the Potomac Chapter.

With over 1100 members, the Potomac Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (PMPI) is the 2nd largest MPI chapter in the world. It is an affiliate of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the world's largest association of meeting professionals with more than 21,000 members and 67 chapters.

PMPI's parent organization, Meeting Professionals International (MPI), is the premier educational, technological and networking resource in the industry. MPI members collectively account for a total of $10.9 billion expended on meetings per year, representing some 610,662 conclaves held throughout the world. These individuals control an average annual budget of $1.4 million and are each responsible for booking at least 1,200 room nights per year.
